Juliette Sallin

Juliette Sallin

Juliette’s work is a result of proceeding between different temporalities: the present moment, the memory of the body, and the imagination. Her signature lightness of paper and fabrics, earthy and skin colours and the rustling of materials touching one another, makes the artwork seems almost mythical. When referring to her artworks the artist states “our memories are like small remains of meteorites staying in levitation: fragments of sensations and feelings”. Through the study of texture, transparency and colour of different types of paper but also sometimes with other materials such as wood, metal, leather and foam the artist is taking us on a quest of recovering the authentic relationship with the environment.
