Míla Fürstová

Míla Fürstová

In Míla Fürstová’s etchings reality and dream are paired to create poetic imagery. In her studio she works rather like an alchemist, experimenting with ancient techniques of etching whilst always exploring the new, sometimes cutting out and layering images, giving rise to new meanings.

Míla was born in the Czech Republic. She studied a BA (HONS) course in Fine Art Printmaking at the University of Gloucestershire and at the Royal College of Art in London. Her works are at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Queen's Collection and Ashmolean Museum, Oxford amongst others.
