Monica Fierro in La Nacion - Argentina

"My work with books reflects my passions from childhood: classical dance and collage. The books are folded, cut out, with or without covers. Other times I may work them in a geometric way or in groups, or I recover lose pages. They are always second hand books and they become like spaces behind the scenes or mis en scenes where young ladies, gentlemen, flowers or birds crop up, dialogue and disappear, depending on the story I wish to tell. The viewer re-discovers the book as an object, which perhaps also narrates my own story."
