Each painting can be seen as a visual record of the artist’s journeys and movements through Newcastle-upon-Tyne over a one month period. Each painting is composed of 78 individual circular target forms, each representing a single place she has visited or passed through during that time. Each of these points is carefully transcribed from OS Explorer Map No.316, catalogued and colour coded according to a system of complementary colours. Each painting contains 156 individual opaque colours.
