Orders of Scale – Private View
Wednesday 27 February 2013, 6–8pm
Northern Print, Stepney Bank, Newcastle NE1 2NP
Contemporary Art Society North members and friends are invited to Northern Print, Newcastle, for the private view of Orders of Scale, an exhibition of new works in print by Alex Charrington, Rachael Clewlow and Nick Kennedy, made in collaboration with The Print Studio, Cambridge.
Orders of Scale explores the dialogue between three Newcastle-based artists who employ a rigorous and empirical approach in their individual practices. The exhibition includes new screen prints together with recent drawings and paintings, which present ideas engaging with systems, colour theory and chance encounters. Many of the works in the exhibition are available for sale.
Join us next Wednesday for the first opportunity to view the work, talk informally to the artists about their projects and buy the publication, with essays by Chris Yetton and Kip Gresham, which is also being launched the same night.
To reserve a place, please RSVP, stating whether you a bringing a guest, to rebecca@contemporaryartsociety.org / 07815 830 182
