Now that's a novel idea
....Monica's practice is inspired by embroidery, sewing, textiles and clothes-making. Her books reveal feminine characters, particularly from the illustrated English books of the 18th century.
Her heroines appear from the curled-up or folded cut-out pages, transforming into exquisite sculptures. Although many of the characters are tormented or dramatic, a sense of humour and mischief permeates the work.
