Kazuhito Takadoi receives a Special Mention in Loewe Crafts Prize

LOEWE CRAFT PRIZE

We are delighted that Kazuhito Takadoi was awarded a Special Mention in this year's Loewe Craft Prize for his work in hawthorn twigs Kado (Angle).
Genta Ishizuka was awarded the Loewe Craft Prize, whilst Harry Morgan also received a Special Mention.

The Award Ceremony and exhibition took place at the beautiful Isamu Noguchi’s indoor stone garden Heaven, inside the Sogetsu Kaikan building in Tokyo, a fabulous setting for all the works and a particularly perfect space for Kazuhito's piece.

From ceramics, furniture and glassware, to basketry, jewellery and blacksmithing, the show demonstrates the artists’ quests to reconcile the ancient with the avant-garde. Twenty nine finalists were selected from 2,500 submissions.
